I also love watching Christmas movies on TV. My favorite Christmas TV specials were those by Perry Como, Andy Williams, and the Carpenters.

I enjoy a wide range of music — everything from opera and classical, rock, folk, pop, and bluegrass to Broadway show tunes. Favorite artists include the Carpenters, Perry Como, Simon and Garfunkel, MercyMe, Rich Mullins, the Beach Boys, the Monkees, the Association, the Moody Blues, and the Beatles.

The Sound of Music, It’s a Wonderful Life, Field of Dreams, Forrest Gump, Chariots of Fire, Steel Magnolias, The Notebook, plus more musicals (Brigadoon, Camelot, South Pacific, Oklahoma, Carousel, Sunday in the Park with George)

I enjoy all the seasons, but my favorite one is autumn. It is the time of cooler temperatures, gorgeous fall colors, intensely blue skies, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the time right before Christmas. I always feel physically and emotionally more energetic in the fall of the year. I also love spring flowers and snow in the winter (whenever we have one here :). My least favorite time is summer because of the humidity and the heat.

I definitely like some periods better than others and some art works more than others. However, as a student of art history, I was trained to appreciate various artistic periods and styles. If I had to choose, I would say that Medieval and Modern are my two favorites. I love Medieval because I love the Romanesque and Gothic styles and appreciate the Christian iconography. I love Modern because I enjoy the work of so many modern artists, including the Impressionists, Henri Matisse, and Marc Chagall.
