New Art Goodies

Last night I ordered some Winsor and Newton watercolors plus a set of small watercolor sketchpads and a set of brushes. Since Guy is still paying my hospital and other bills, I did not purchase the professional grade of anything. Still I think my little box of watercolors will be fine for adding some color to drawings and for sketching. I have used the professional grade paints before as well as good quality sable brushes and fine watercolor paper. But I do think that those can wait for another time.

I have felt that my life was passing me by. I would love to bake, but our oven is ancient, bakes unevenly, and needs replacing. It is so old that you can’t even get parts for it. So I told Guy that maybe the next time we get a microwave that we get one with convection so I can bake again. I would love to play my piano but it is currently in storage. I don’t know when I could get it out here. We would have to find a good place for it (not easy since there’s already a lot of furniture that was here before I came). We would also have to hire piano movers and then a piano tuner to get it tuned. I have a Yamaha keyboard that Guy put in the storage barn. If we could find a place for that, at least I could play music! I am tired of not always feeling like I can be myself. So… changes need to be made. Buying the watercolors was just another step to getting back into doing art. It’s important that I keep moving in a good direction.
